US Open Women's Final

No surprises in the line-up for the US Women’s Open final at Flushing Meadow as top seed Serena Williams is a 1-4 shot to see off 2nd seed Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka.  Serena appears to be playing some of the best tennis of her career but seems a short price against someone who has reached four hard court finals in a row and beat Serena only 3 weeks ago.

Serena leads the head to heads 12-3 and her play this fortnight has looked so much better than that of her rival that the 10-3 on offer for Azarenka can be reluctantly passed upon.

When the match prices look correct it is hard to find too much value on other markets but Serena does appear to have the raw ability to go on a blowout at any moment so as a small bet Serena giving up 4.5 games on the fixed odds handicap is the best value bet to my eyes.

She would have covered this handicap in every match with ease against lesser opponents in every round and although Azarenka is a step up in class, playing as she has done in every previous round could get her over the line with ease.

1pt @ 8-11 Serena Williams (-4.5 games) v Victoria Azarenka
