Ten consecutive wins. Didn’t see that coming after a horrible start to the season against Villa. They’re playing well, but there’s always that feeling at the pit of a Gooner’s stomach that the wheels are gonna fall off each time Arsenal walk onto the pitch. Sagna is out for three weeks and Wilshere is smoking. Red all over oddschecker? Nope. Arsenal seem to be on the up and up. No doubt the Baggies fixture this weekend will be tough, but I’m confident that Arsenal will make it 11 wins on the trot. West Brom are fresh off an impressive 2-1 at Old Trafford last Saturday, but a second-string Arsenal side were able to get past West Brom in the League Cup a few days previous, and I think an injection of first-team players like Ozil and Giroud will be able to get Arsenal all three points in this Sunday kick-off, so I’ll be backing Arsenal over WBA at 0.85 on the goal supremacy and having a bit of the 4/5 that’s available also.
The early kick-off on Saturday is possibly the game of the weekend. Man City, who were on the receiving end of a lesson by Munich on Wednesday, host Everton in a game that they really need to be winning if they want to show that they are worthy favourites for the Premier League title this season. I’m baffled as to how they have to play the early fixture this weekend when they played just 3 days previously, whereas Chelsea and Arsenal get an extra two days rest. Oh well, if they want to win the league they have to overcome such nonsense, and I’m backing them to beat Everton. I see value in backing Man City at 4/6 here, and I’ll be looking to buy Negredo goal minutes at around the 27 mark.
Time now my wagon treble of the weekend! There’s no real logic behind my selections here, I just fancy each individual bet and feel like parlaying them. Man United away to Sunderland. Suarez 1st goalscorer at home to Crystal Palace and Lampard score Chelsea win double. Should get in or around the 28/1 mark for that!
