An all European final on Sunday is guaranteed after Holland withstood a grandstand finish from Uruguay to triumph in Cape Town.

The massive pre-tournament gamble on the Dutch means they will be supported by the majority of neutrals, but how many are regretting not only telling the world, but also their wives that they are on Holland at nice prices? And why aren’t Champions League finalists Sneijder, Robben & van Bommel as tired as the poor English players were?

Without wanting to labour the point, the business end of World Cup 2010 have been so darned exhilarating, the boring Group Stages in early June have become a distant memory.
