The Master Plan

I am not a big golf fan. I never have been. But there is a lot of buzz in the lead up to The Masters this year and I can’t help get excited.

This year sees Rory McIlroy returning to the course he had his meltdown on last year to try to set things right. Yes I know he redeemed himself a few months later as he recorded a facile victory at the US Open.

Tiger Woods looks to be playing back at the standard of a 4-time winner after his personal problems. All I can say is, I wish I had a few of the billionaire sex-addict’s “personal problems”. Phwoar…

Phil Mickleson, the 3-time winner, looks set to be there or thereabouts again.

Betting-wise it seems like people (like me) who know little to nothing about golf should still get involved. With firms paying up to 6 places and some juicy prices about top ranked players… why not?

My very shrewd friend and colleague The Natural thinks Big Phil is the bet of the year at a juicy 11/1 (1/4 the first 6). So I shall be following him in and firing a few random bullets at big prices myself.

I think lay the young Irish man Rory as he is way too short (should be bigger even if he had won last year) which we all know he didn’t.

These are my thoughts from a non-golf follower or lover. WHY AM I SO EXCITED???
