Premier League Preview

Arsenal v Norwich (Saturday 12.45)

Arsenal need a win going into this match to move one step closer to guaranteeing a 3rd place finish, and they face a Norwich City outfit just off the back of a 3-0 hammering at home to Liverpool. Norwich are safe however, and with Arsenal needing the win, this could be a runaway victory for the gunners.

Arsenal / Norwich 1.9-2.1 goal favourites

Prediction – Arsenal to win well.

Newcastle v Man City (Sunday 13.30)

Newcastle just had a smashing win at Stamford Bridge and have a real chance of securing 4th spot, yet they face Man City who need a win to stay ahead of United on goal difference. It really doesn’t get any closer than this, and I can’t call it.

Man City / Newcastle 0.7-0.9 goal favourites

Prediction – Draw

Bolton v West Brom (Sunday 14.00)

Bolton will feel hard-done by after losing 4-1 at home to Spurs, as they could have gone on to win after they equalised at the Reebok. West Brom are mid-table and have done magnificently this season, and will be dealing with the imminent departure of Roy Hodgson, but I think that Bolton will get the three points that they desperately need if they are to stay up.

Bolton / WBA 0.3-0.5 goal favourites

Prediction – Home win

Fulham v Sunderland (Sunday 14.00)

Both teams score goals, and Fulham will be looking to put on a show for the crowd at Craven Cottage in their final home game of the campaign.

Fulham / Sunderland 0.6-0.8 goal favourites  + Total Goals 2.7-2.9

Prediction – Home win + Over 2.5 Goals

QPR v Stoke (Sunday 14.00)

This is a must-win game for QPR, facing a Stoke team that have only beaten 3 teams on the road this season. QPR have beaten Spurs, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea at home this season and I expect them to take all three points and take the relegation battle down to the wire.

Prediction – Home win

Wolves v Everton (Sunday 14.00)

Wolves are down, and Everton could do with the three points if they want the Merseyside bragging rights at the end of this season. Looking at the form, you’d have to favour Everton, but anything can happen at the end of the season.

Everton / Wolves 0.7-0.9 goal favourites

Prediction – Away win

Man United v Swansea  (Sunday 16.00)

Swansea are safe, Man United are desperate. It’s a no-brainer.

Prediction – Home win

Aston Villa v Tottenham (Sunday 14.00)

Aston Villa need the win, but just aren’t good enough at the moment to get the win here. Tottenham are my pick for 4th place, and I see them doing the job at Villa Park.

Spurs / Villa 0.5-0.7 goal favourites

Prediction – Away Win

Blackburn v Wigan (Monday 20.00)

This is a relegation battle that has important ramifications. If Wigan win they are safe, and they send Blackburn down, but if Blackburn win they live to fight another day (Blackburn are going down I tell you!)

Prediction – Draw that does neither side any favours.
