Moo Goes to the Darts

On the 11th of January I’m going to the arrers at the Lakeside.

Yes it’s the one that everyone sees as inferior to the PDC but I still love it. The Lakeside is a cosy venue packed full of bars, bookies and fish and chip outlets, everything a good darts fan needs.

My mate bought the tickets and insisted we went in fancy dress. The theme that was decided on was Super Mario characters. I reckon this means we’ll be a table of 12 Super Marios. If you are the regular reader of my blogs you’ll know I’m a fat fecker and finding a costume would be hard. But I found one a XXXXL Super Mario Outfit that now sits in my wardrobe ready for the big day, it even came with a redundant blow up paunch.

It’s going to be a trip down memory lane for me as for years me and a group of mates would always get tickets for the quarter final nights. It’ll be on the beeb I think so look out for the fattest Super Mario and that’ll be yours truly beering and fish and chipping it up like a good old fashioned darts wagon.

I’ll be loving it and giving it the bigun as darts is my favourite sport to watch. You can eat and drink as much as you like, make as much noise as you like and you’re sitting down in the warm. Other sports have disappointed in the past like motor racing which looks good on the telly but you see virtually nothing at the track.

Anyhoo this may well be my last blog before Christmas so Merry Christmas to all my blog followers and at this time of year let’s all try and remember what’s important in this world and for once it’s not the filthy food.
