Look long on Star day at Carlisle
With our sister company Star Sports sponsoring the entire card at Carlisle this afternoon it would be rude not to have a look at the eight race card from a Star Spreads perspective.
The distances are set at around 40-44 which means an average of 5.5 per race.
As ever with a National Hunt card, if buying, you are looking for at least one race to deliver a 15+ length winning margin to get the bet rolling and I think there is every chance that could happen today.
1:50 starsportsbet.co.uk Novices’ Hurdle (4yo+, Class 4, 2m 4f, 9 runners)

2:55 Star Sports Follow Us On Twitter At star_sportsbet Intermediate Handicap Hurdle (4yo+, Class 3, 2m 1f, 7 runners)
3:25 Star Sports Trader Betiquette Handicap Chase (4yo+, Class 3, 3m 2f, 7 runners)
3:55 Star Sports Be Knowledgeable Handicap Hurdle (Div 1) (4yo+, Class 4, 2m 4f, 9 runners)
4:30 Star Sports Be Knowledgeable Handicap Hurdle (Div 2) (4yo+, Class 4, 2m 4f, 10 runners)
5:00 Star Sports Be Polite Handicap Chase (4yo+, Class 4, 2m 4f, 8 runners)
5:30 Star Sports Don’t Be Rushed Standard Open NH Flat Race (4-6yo, Class 6, 2m 1f, 14 runners)
The fences are tough at Carlisle so the 2.20 could easily produce a wide margin victor. Despite the seven strong field – four of the runners are 50/1+ so the chances are high we could see a good winner in terms of distance.
I’d be nervous selling on this card to will look to buy distances at around 44.
ADVICE
BUY distances at Carlisle at around 44
