Man City still too good for Toon
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has a dilemma tonight. How much of a first team side does he want to select for the Carling Cup fourth-round tie against Man City in the knowledge that he has a Premier League game against Chelsea fast approaching on Saturday.
Both Newcastle and Man City come here on the back of defeats in the Premier League but there’s no doubting Man City’s far superior record over the Toon.
Man City have won the last eight meetings and are unbeaten in 14 (W12, D2) since Newcastle won 1-0 at home in the Premier League in September 2005.
