Trick or treat ? Heads or tails ? High or low ?
That’s the simplicity of betting. It’s often as simple as one or the other – but unlike heads or tails you can compare YOUR opinion against the market and THEN choose your bet accordingly.
For me that’s one of the secrets with spread betting on Star Spreads. START with your view and THEN compare to the market and not the other way round.
Predict the make-up and then act accordingly – if I agree with the market and my prediction is slap bang in the middle of the spread – then for me it’s a no play.
There’s always another day and other markets. Patience is a virtue.
Kempton tonight is a good example. I went through the races and have estimated around 13 lengths. The Star Spreads price is around 9.6-10.6 so there’s some (perceived) value to be had with a buy.
There was a six length winner last night and as always with this type of bet it just takes ONE runaway winner to make the difference.
The 5.00 in particular can hopefully deliver a four length + return.
