30 the magic number at Cheltenham
Distances again today and we head to Cheltenham for the final day of the Open meeting.
Star Spreads are quoting around 26.5 – 29.5 and at those prices I have to be a buyer.
We are looking at hitting the magic number of 30 today and despite the competitive nature of the card, and the fact there are only six races, I do think that is easily achievable.
It’s clearly the smaller runner fields that we’ll look most to on the distances front.
1.35 4 runners
2.10 5 runners
2.40 7 runners
But it’s not unusual for a runaway bumper winner at Cheltenham too so we will have that to look forward to as the final leg.
Cheltenham is a track where horses need to be ridden out up the steep finish and is always a course where I prefer to be on the long side, generally, and particularly today.

BUY CHELTENHAM DISTANCES at around 29.5.
