Not a favourites fan at Kempton Thursday

So much for the Gateshead v Oxford recommended bet yesterday. The match was called off at 6.45pm after torrential rain on Tyneside and who knows that may have been a blessing in disguise.

We head racing tonight for the evening card at Kempton.

It looks competitive, even by Kempton standards and I’m not sure I’d want to be rushing in to back the favourites on a line of around 64-68.

Even the two non handicaps on the eight race card look competitive.

There was a make-up of 90 on the favourites but that was on a card that looked easier.

Often with this market it’s a good idea to look at the early races to see if you can get off to a good start, and of course trade out for a possible profit.

It’s to say what is even going to start favourite in the opening claimer. Red Explorer is comfortably rated the best horse in the race – but ratings are not always predictable when it comes to claimers.

The 4.40 looks another 3/1 the field race and I’m hoping we can safely navigate these two races to make a good start on the sell of the favourites index on Star Spreads.
