Wednesday Champions League preview
There are three matches that appeal to me tonight, and I’ll be getting right stuck in to all three on the spreads. Some quality teams in action and I’m predicting some stand out performances from some of the top contenders in this year’s Champions League, writes Tony.
Game 1
CSKA Moscow v Bayern Munich
Munich are the team to be feared yet again this season, and they are in fantastic form coming in to this game. They beat Dortmund (albeit a depleted side) 3-0 away on Saturday, and they are up against a CSKA outfit that has conceded 12 goals. I’m going with Munich/CSKA at 1.15 (the buy price is as high as 1.4 with some firms!) I’ll be buying some Robben goal minutes at a low price of 21 (26 with some firms) and I’ll be selling the time of the 3rd Munich goal at 82, hoping for a mauling in Moscow.
Game 2
Bayer Leverkusen v Man United
This game to me is very similar to the Basel v Chelsea game last night. That game should have been a pick’em game last night, Basel are no mugs whatsoever and they proved it last night. I don’t think Leverkusen are being given enough credit price-wise going into tonight’s fixture. They are slight favourites on their home ground advantage alone, but I’m of the opinion that this team can hurt an under-performing United outfit. I ‘m all over the 0.3 buy of Leverkusen/United and I’m having a little nibble on Lars Bender goal minutes at 7, hoping that United once again show how vulnerable they can be from set pieces.
Game 3
PSG v Olympiakos
Tonight will be the Ibrahimovic show – I assure you! I’m buying PSG over at 1.45 and getting on Zlatan goal minutes at 40. He’ll be rightly annoyed after being outshined by Ronaldo last week, and he’ll be well up for smashing this Greek mob up!
