Excuse me (and especially Spurs fans) but it is the festive season and I was more than happy having bought goals at White Hart Lane to see Liverpool knock in five.
To be fair, whilst I though there would be goals, I expected some of them at least to be scored by Spurs but sometimes with spread betting with Star Spreads you can be right when you’re wrong. A kind of Christmas bonus, if you like.
It wasn’t such good news of course for Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas who this morning has ‘left’ Tottenham.
The club said the decision was “by mutual consent” although after Villas-Boas said he would fight on following Sunday’s loss, the move will be widely seen as a sacking.
A statement from the club on Monday morning read: “The club can announce that agreement has been reached with head coach, Andre Villas-Boas, for the termination of his services.
“The decision was by mutual consent and in the interests of all parties.
“We wish Andre well for the future.
“We shall make a further announcement in due course.”
TONIGHT: AC MILAN v ROMA
15 matches into the season and Roma remain unbeaten this season and are 19 points between themselves and tonight’s rivals AC Milan in the Serie A standings.
However, AC Milan are narrow favourites at the San Siro for tonight’s match.
