Leicester v Derby (7.45pm)

We grabbed a profit of 11 points with Man City’s 6-0 demolition of West Ham and the total goals spread (buy 3.8) was almost done and dusted, bar the shouting, by half time.

Incredible to think that the Hammers have gone out of two competitions in four days by an aggregate of 11-0. Carling don’t do hammerings but if they did……

Back to the football tonight and hopefully the chance to get some pre-weekend ammo together with a trip to the King Power Stadium (… if the floodlights ever failed there HOW embarrassing would that be?) for leaders Leicester against fourth placed Derby.

It’s a H2H that Leicester have very much dominated over recent years:

HEAD TO HEAD RECORD
(Max last 10 only)
Sep 2013 Capital One Leicester 2-1 Derby
Aug 2013 Championship Derby 0-1 Leicester
Mar 2013 Championship Derby 2-1 Leicester
Dec 2012 Championship Leicester 4-1 Derby
Feb 2012 Championship Derby 0-1 Leicester
Oct 2011 Championship Leicester 4-0 Derby
Feb 2011 Championship Derby 0-2 Leicester
Nov 2010 Championship Leicester 2-0 Derby
Mar 2010 Championship Derby 1-0 Leicester
Oct 2009 Championship Leicester 0-0 Derby

Leicester have only lost one home game all season but are likely to find Derby a tough nut to crack, and Derby have an added carrot of going second tonight if they can take all three points.

Derby are unbeaten in their last five matches and also have the best away record in the Championship this season, winning eight and drawing two of their 12 games.

They are also scoring goals for fun. They have amassed 48 league goals so far this season – more than any other side in the Championship.

For Derby, midfielder Craig Bryson is expected to be fit, but skipper Richard Keogh (knee) and striker Johnny Russell (cheek) are unavailable.

Striker Patrick Bamford, who joined on-loan from Chelsea on Monday, will hope to make his debut.

It’s a really tough one – but total goals again seems the market to play on Star Spreads and again I’m a buyer.

Hopefully, like earlier in the week, the money will be in the bag by half-time.
