Arsenal v Man U (7.45pm, LIVE BT SPORT)

table12febSix Premier League matches tonight and at the time of writing all matches are going ahead despite the horrific weather forecasts – particularly in the North West.

At 6pm Virgin Trains advised customers not to travel this evening due to problems at Crewe Station – the roof has blown off – news that will come too late for Man U supporters who are likely to face lengthy journeys home from their London trip.

It could be a miserable journey home too as Arsenal have to be backed at the prices tonight at the Emirates.

It’s a chance for Arsenal to go back to the top of the table, and if they don’t take it Man City are likely to seize the opportunity to replace Chelsea at the top if they can beat Sunderland at home.

Both Arsenal and Man U were badly bruised at the weekend. Arsenal thumped 5-1 by Liverpool and Man U conceded a last minute goal at the hands of bottom placed Fulham who stole a draw at Old Trafford.

Arsenal have won just one of their last 13 games against Man U….

But tonight is a bit a like the third day of a golf Major. It’s ‘moving day’ and surely Arsenal can see off a vulnerable looking Man U.

If you’re backing Arsenal, you almost have to forget their dismal performance at Anfield. It wasn’t so much that it was their first defeat in nine league games (W6, D2) but the style in which they went down that raised eyebrows.

But Man U’s weekend performance wasn’t much better. That was a draw that surely had the taste of defeat and staggeringly Man U are now 21 points, eight wins, six places and 19 goals worse off than at the same stage of last season.

We sold at ZERO yesterday in the Cardiff v Villa game and the make-up was…. ZERO.

Hopefully a little more exciting tonight. I’m happy to buy Arsenal’s supremacy with Star Spreads at around 0.4.
