Hoping Chelsea option is better than Cheltenham one

Two words that I don’t want to hear in the same sentence for quite some time are CHELTENHAM and DISTANCES.

It was a disastrous week on that front – buying distances all week was the cue for endless close finishes

Back to football and whilst Man City were long odds on to win at Hull earlier today, after just 10 minutes it wasn’t looking so straightforward when captain Vincent Kompany was sent off.

They have closed the gap to six points on leaders Chelsea but have two games in hand. At the moment it’s Man City who have the better goal difference. I wonder how important THAT will prove at the end of the season?

It’s fairly likely that Chelsea will not only win today – but also improve their own goal difference figures. After all, it’s usually a fixture that produces plenty of goals and sometimes a hell of a lot of them. Chelsea have beaten Villa 8-0 and 7-1 in recent seasons, although in fairness to Villa those wins came at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are now unbeaten in their last 14 league matches, taking 36 points out of a possible 42 (W11, D3) and Mourinho’s claims that Man City are in a better position because of their three games in hand is frankly ludicrous.

Villa come into this on the back of a 4-1 victory over Norwich last weekend and might offer early resistance but Chelsea should prove too strong in the end.

Buying Total Goals at 2.8 is a must bet for me today and I’m also getting involved in the bookings with a buy at around 36.
