Crystal Palace v Liverpool (8pm SKY)

Published On May 5, 2014 | By David S | Star Spreads

And then there were two.

Chelsea’s, rather pathetic, display yesterday was as good as flying the white flag to Man City and Liverpool who are currently joint leaders of the Premier League but Liverpool get the chance to go back top tonight if they can beat Crystal Palace (8pm SKY). As we know though, Man City just need to win their last two games to take the title as (at the moment) they have the superior goal advantage of nine goals.

All Liverpool need to do is what they did on 12 Sep 1989……

RESULT: Liverpool 9 Crystal Palace 0

That would certainly make things interesting again, but that surely can’t happen ?

The odds, not for the first time this season, are too short about Liverpool in my opinion.

8/1 about Crystal Palace at home is insulting for a team currently in 11th in the table and who have defied most peoples expectations this season. A win for them tonight would be the icing on a very good season for the team led by Tony Pulis.

Norwich proved yesterday that there are no straight forward ‘three pointers’ even at the tail end of the season and I fancy Palace will be a LOT more competitive than their price would say so.

We got a nice return of 140 points with the buy at 36 on the Chelsea game and will repeat the bet on Star Spreads tonight at a starting point of 37 tonight.
