Hope you enjoyed the news item about Star Spreads in today’s Racing Post – just in case you missed it is reproduced below.

As Ben Keith said, it’s really exciting times ahead for the Star Spreads team and I’m hoping going to play my part too by advising some strategy plays on the range of markets offered online.

I’ve got plenty up my sleeve for the World Cup – 22 days and counting – but before then hopefully we can build up a little bit of a bank before the Brazilian extravaganza gets underway.

I’ll certainly need to do better than on Saturday with my FA Cup final bet.

Although in the end (after Hull went 2-0 up inside 12 minutes) it almost felt like a victory getting back to all square on the score front.

No new bet today – I’m going to have a look at the distances market on Wednesday at Ayr – as there might be an angle in at Ayr with the recent rain.

But for new spread players (and existing ones for that matter) I urge to form an opinion BEFORE you look at the market.

It’s only then when you can get the proper feel for how you want to play the market. It’s fine to say in advance you think there will be a lot of goals, or close winning margins at the races – but you can only bet when you see the Star Spreads market.

Take a view – work out your projected make-up on the market and in short pit YOUR skills against the traders.

I’m not sure who took credit for this saying in golf (there are many theories on its origin) but…..

The Harder I Practice, the Luckier I Get

Do it on the spreads. You’ll enjoy it more.
