After yesterday’s Arc I’m penniless. Or should that be Yenless?
No one likes reading tedious hard luck from punters/pundits but suffice it to say it hurt seeing the Japenese raiders finish so fast and it’s hard not to look to the European inexperience of their respective riders.
I played all three of the Japanese runners and the ONLY thing I got right was that Harp Star was the best of them.

Well I shall be ‘starting again’ at the Citywest Hotel in Dublin tonight for the start of the World Grand Prix with no Japanese jockeys on the oche.
The 32 players of course include Phil Taylor who is looking for his 12th title.
World number 1 Michael van Gerwen takes on fellow Dutchman Vincent van der Voort in the first round — the man who was best man at MVG’s wedding two months ago !!
The essential thing in the early stages of this tournament especially is to get off to a good start. It really is a sudden death tourney with the winner only having to get to two sets and each game starts with the player requiring a double to get off the blocks.
Kevin Painter v Andy Hamilton is one of the games tonight and I’ve got to be with Hamilton.
He has won the last six head to heads and generally quite comfortably to boot.
