S.P.Read Esq: Lingfield distances
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the racing this afternoon and a bet on the distances market at LINGFIELD and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Sometimes you have to think losing is a result.
I’ll explain the misnomer. Last night, like most other people, I fully expected Man City to beat Newcastle at the Etihad.
Thankfully though I didn’t play the supremacy market which could have got costly. I went for the time of the second match goal.
Whilst the second goal did eventually arrive on 75 minutes (I suffered a loss as I sold at 50 minutes) I certainly didn’t expect it to come from Newcastle and it ending up staying the same score.
Not good by any means but could have been a whole lot worse.
A tactical switch from football to racing for the next few days. Action Stateside and the Breeders’ Cup on Friday and Saturday with 13 Championship races but before that a little interest on the Star Spreads distance markets.
Lingfield is not a course where I’m usually a natural buyer of distances but on today’s card I’ve been tempted in to buy at 11.2 which works out an average of 1.4 lengths across the eight race card.
It’s a good card and unusually five of the eight races are non handicaps and there must a hope we see a wide margin winner in at least one of them.
