Profit for the column with bookings again coming up trumps.

I bought at 28 with Star Spreads in the Havant game and was rewarded with a final make-up of 60.

The profit on the column in November has now soared to 1,545 points !!

Time for JPT action tonight and the quarter final of the competition where the two League One sides Walsall and Sheffield United go into battle at the Banks’s (Bescot) Stadium.

Sheffield United are doing better in the league but my theory in this competition is that makes it even more sensible to support Walsall.

The thinking behind that theory is simply that promotion is clearly a bigger priority and you would think the Sheffield United manager Nigel Clough will have far more focus on Saturday’s trip to Doncaster which could see his side jump to as high as third in the table.

Certainly in the competition so far, Clough has used the JPT to give some of his more inexperienced players a chance and the same tactics tonight could hand a significant advantage to Walsall who already have home advantage. Walsall also beat Sheffield United the last time they met in the league in January.

Walsall boss Dean Smith has the luxury of a full strength side to choose from including top scorer Tom Bradshaw who is back from a hamstring injury.

A first ever Wembley trip for Walsall may well still be on the cards.

A night for keeping it simple and a Walsall / Sheffield United superiority bet.
