It’s being billed as a ‘title decider’ and it could well be if Man City fail to get anything from their trip to Stamford Bridge (5.30pm SKY).

Both teams suffered shock defeats in the FA Cup last week so they can now concentrate on the league (!!), but if Chelsea were to take all three points then suddenly there’s a gap of eight points at the top.

The bare stats say there’s a good chance of that happening as Chelsea come into this on the back of 10 straight Premier League wins at home while Man City are looking a long way short of their best in 2015 with successive defeats at the Etihad by Middlesbrough in the FA Cup and Arsenal’s 2-0 win in the league.

Chelsea forward Diego Costa hasn’t been off the back page headlines all week and is unavailable for this having being found guilty of violent conduct against Liverpool.

Mourinho has further problems with Cesc Fabregas and Filipe Luis missing – both were injured in the midweek League Cup win over Liverpool.

For Man City Yaya Toure and Wilfried Bony are both unavailable as they are still involved in the Africa Cup of Nations.

I was one minute away from getting level on Wednesday with a sell of the third match goal in the Sheffield United v Spurs game. I sold at 76 minutes and the third goal was on 77 minutes!

Buying bookings at 65 seems a high starting point at first glance, especially when Marc Clattenburg is only averaging 41.6 points – but it’s easy to see this being a bad tempered affair with plenty at stake and I don’t think there is much downside potential with a buy with Star Spreads.
