The comment on the Sporting Life web site summed up Triple Dip like a 16/1 shot not a 1/20 hotpot……

98% of Placepot tickets were wiped out on course in the first race with punters needing the winner in a four horse race and Triple Dip set a modern day record for the shorest price beaten favourite in racing history.
It was one back for the bookies coming just the day after ALL SEVEN market leaders romped home at Wolverhampton.
And it wasn’t just racing…… Germany were long odds-on to beat Australia pre-match last night and even shorter after they went 1-0 up but somehow that conspired to be a 2-2 coupon busting draw.
Looking at the results yesterday you wouldn’t have taken 1/50 that it was Wednesday 🙁
Rather worryingly Chelmsford’s card tonight has attracted some small fields and only six races (how terribly old fashioned).
It does however present an opportunity to buy distances at 10 with Star Spreads.
Despite just one of the six races being a non-handicap, I think there are sound chances for believing that we can better an average of 1.67 lengths per race.
A (very) small profit last night with Scotland’s late goal against Northern Ireland coming to my rescue.
