S.P.Read Esq: Liverpool v Blackburn

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the FA Cup game on Sunday (4pm, LIVE BT SPORT) between LIVERPOOL v BLACKBURN ROVERS and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadSuperb result on the bookings yesterday at Villa Park. I bought at 46 on Star Spreads and there was an incredible make up of 110 points.

That’s given the coffers a nice boost ahead of the Cheltenham Festival this week.

Liverpool are a short price to beat Blackburn in the 4pm kick off today and consolidate their position as favourites to lift the title.

Possibly unfortunately for Blackburn, they are facing a Liverpool side this afternoon who are on a good run of form – especially at home where they have won their last five games.

This is the 10th time these two sides have been drawn together in the FA Cup, with Liverpool holding a 5 v 4 advantage.

The hosts could well be boosted by the return of captain Steven Gerrard after a hamstring injury which has ruled him out of the last six matches. Blackburn will be without striker Josh King who scored a hat-trick in their fifth round game against Stoke.

Blackburn manager Gary Bowyer is not under-estimating the task ahead. He said: ” He said: “It’s David versus Goliath. Nobody’s giving us a chance outside of our dressing room. I think they’re the most impressive team in the Premier League at the moment and the football that they’re playing is fantastic. Obviously full credit to the manager for the way he changed his formation. We’ve studied the videos, we’ve come up with a game plan, and we’ve worked with the players on it. We’ll go and take the challenge to Liverpool.”
