S.P.Read Esq: Chelsea v Crystal Palace

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Premier League game today (1.30pm SKY) between CHELSEA v CRYSTAL PALACE and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadChelsea get the chance to finally seal the Premier League title this afternoon at Stamford Bridge if they can take all three points against Crystal Palace.

Mourinho’s men have taken advantage of multiple slip-ups by their challengers and have done best at simply getting the job done. It’s been more tactical than spectacular but the league table doesn’t lie and they have the luxury of a 13 point cushion over Man City and Arsenal (who still have a game in hand).

Alan Pardew has performed miracles with Crystal Palace who look set to finish the season in a highly creditable mid-table and the manager has a good record against Chelsea winning four of his last six games against the Blues, including inflicting one of their only two league defeats this season at St James’s Park in December.

Palace also have a great record away from home losing just one of their last eight away matches in the league, earning 17 points (W5, D2, L1).

Team news sees Chelsea’s Diego Costa ruled out with a hamstring injury and he may not play again this season. Fellow forward Loic Remy is back in contention and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is also set to return after a minor hip problem.

Pardew is hopeful that defender Joel Ward will overcome a shin injury but Fraizer Campbell and Marouane Chamakh remain on the sidelines.
