S.P.Read Esq: Crystal Palace v Man U

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Premier League game (5.30pm SKY) between CRYSTAL PALACE v MAN U and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadA good day yesterday when the buy of bookings at Griffin Park at 46 on Star Spreads was rewarded in style with a bumper make-up of 90 – a profit of 1,320 points to the recommended stake !

All the evidence points towards a low scoring encounter at Selhurst Park when Crystal Palace take on Man U but I’ve a suspicion it could go the other way as we reach the tail end of the season.

Man U have done well this season and Louis Van Gaal would almost certainly have ‘taken’ their current league position if offered it at the start of the season. It’s especially remarkable given they have not performed particularly well away from home scoring just 19 goals in 17 games.

Crystal Palace have also done well but have come off the boil in their last couple of games and are now on the back of three successive defeats including two at home against West Brom and Hull.

A win for Man U today will secure qualification for Champions League football next season at the expense of Liverpool so there’s still plenty at stake and it’s not unusual in end of season games to see the floodgates open.

Plenty of speculation about the virus that has hit the Man U squad but manager Louis van Gaal has so far not specified which players have been affected.

We know Michael Carrick remains out for the season because of a calf injury, but defenders Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw and Jonny Evans are all thought to be fit again.

Whatever your bet here – there’s one stat that you must keep in mind above all other…. Man U have never lost to Crystal Palace in the Premier League (W9, D2).
