S.P.Read Esq: Man U v West Brom
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Premier League game today (5.30pm SKY) between MAN U v WEST BROM and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Man U should make it seven league games in a row against West Brom in a head to head that usually provides plenty of goals – most notably in 2013 when it finished 5-5 at the Hawthorns !
West Brom caused a massive shock last season winning 2-1 at Old Trafford but there’s so much more at stake this afternoon for Man U who look to claim Champions League football next season without the need for the play-off stage which would be the case if they remain in fourth spot.
Rooney is expected to be back after a knee injury he suffered against Everton last week but the home side have a fair few injury worries to contend with.
Defenders Luke Shaw (groin), Marco Rojo (adductor), Jonny Evans (nerve) and Rafael (rib) are all out, as is central midfielder Michael Carrick (calf). Centre-half Phil Jones is also likely to miss the game as he continues to recover from an ankle injury.
Whether West Brom can capitalise is debatable though. They have only scored 11 Premier League away goals this term – fewer than any other side.
