S.P.Read Esq: Glorious Goodwood Day Four

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the fourth day of GLORIOUS GOODWOOD and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadGlorious Goodwood day four and the feature is the Group 2 Qatar King George Stakes over the flying five furlongs at 3.45pm.

Separating high quality sprinters at this level is never easy given the margins are so tight and even a split second lost or gained at the start can make a vital difference at the business end.

Take Cover won this in a blanket finish last year but came into the race on the back of a win in the City Walls Stakes at York but this year he ran in the same race and finished stone last so can’t really be considered a bet to follow-up.

Muthmir is a class sprinter and is best over the minimum trip in my opinion. I think he might be good enough to concede weight to this field.

He ran a blinder over this trip to take third in the King’s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot behind Goldream and Medicean Man and then next time out struggled with the six furlongs in the Darley July Cup when only ninth.

Move In Time won the Prix De L’Abbaye at 25/1 last season and won easily on seasonal reappearance at Hamilton last month. I think he’ll go well but a negative must be that stable jockey Danny Tudhope has opted to ride Out Do instead. Out Do was the winner of the aforementioned City Walls Stakes at York last time out.

A profit of 135 points yesterday when Quest For More was second.

Again, I’m a buyer on the 50/30/20/10 index.
