S.P.Read Esq: Arsenal v Liverpool

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the 8pm kick off in the Premier League on Monday between ARSENAL v LIVERPOOL and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadThere’re usually plenty of goals when Arsenal and Liverpool meet – the aggregate being Arsenal 9 – Liverpool 9 over their last four meetings.

Liverpool bid to keep up the pace with Man City as they are the last remaining side with a 100% Premier League record this season but face a tough task at the Emirates tonight.

Arsenal looked set for a good start to the season when beating Chelsea 1-0 in the Community Shield but were shell shocked when beaten 2-0 by West Ham in the opening game of the season and then had a battle to beat Crystal Palace.

Liverpool’s two wins have both come by 1-0 margins – away to Stoke on the opening day and then a hard fought win against Bournemouth – Christian Benteke’s first half goal proving enough in a game which with a different referee could easily have finished 1-0 to Bournemouth.

In short, both sides are not exactly playing great football.

Arsenal are likely to field the same team that Arsene Wenger selected last time in the win over Bournemouth.

Mathieu Flamini is doubtful with an ankle problem and Danny Welbeck is still weeks off a return to training.

Liverpool’s captain Jordan Henderson is a major doubt with a foot problem and is likely to be replaced by Emre Can.

Michael Oliver is tonight’s ref and I can easily see a high number on the bookings spread. Looking back through his record he tends to issue more cards in the higher profile games and has averaged 62.5 in two Premier League games this season. I’m a buyer at 51 on Star Spreads.
