Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the 7.45pm kick off on Tuesday in the Champions League between MAN U v CLUB BRUGGE and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
A nervous night for Man U tonight (especially Man U shareholders) as they take on Club Brugge in the first leg of their Champions League play-off with a lucrative spot in the Group stages at stake.
The two sides have never met but on current form Man U should be able to build up a lead to take to Belgium.
Man U have won their opening two games (both 1-0) in the Premier League and despite not being totally convincing and ongoing concerns about Wayne Rooney playing up front they are doing what we have come to expect from Man U – namely getting the job done.
Club Brugge won the Belgian Cup last season and also reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
United boss Van Gaal added: “These kind of matches are difficult and because of the draw I think it is much more difficult because we have drawn Brugge. Brugge can defend very well, and they can attack also. Everyone wants to participate in the Champions League but first you have to beat Club Brugge.”
That looks a strong possibility – especially as Club Brugge have yet to win in 11 games in England (D2 L9).
