Early action today and it really is high noon for Chelsea who face Arsenal in what should by a very revealing game.

Chelsea had a comfortable win midweek in their Champions League Group match against Macabi Tel Aviv which will have given them some much needed confidence.

It was the opposite case with Arsenal who suffered a defeat on their travels to Dinamo Zagreb.

It wouldn’t be Chelsea unless their were rumours flying around about Mourinho. The latest being that he is begining to ‘lose’ the dressing room.

Mourinho hit back at the newspaper speculation by saying: “I don’t have any problem with any one of my players. Normally when bad results happen the first thing that comes into your laptops, iPads and pens is to find a dramatic story: ‘Somebody punch somebody in the dressing room’, ‘The manager doesn’t want to speak with this guy’. You (the media) always go in this direction, which is funny. The other direction you don’t go is the direction which is real. You lose matches, you are affected, you lose confidence, you don’t want the ball.”

As bad as Chelsea have been in the Premier League this season Arsenal have not exactly been firing on all cylinders themselves. They did beat Chelsea pre-season in the Community Shield but over the years Mourinho has always seemed to hold the ace cards over Mourinho.

I can’t find any reasons to back Chelsea.

I can’t find any reasons to back Arsenal.

The booking market makes plenty of interest in what is sure to be a high-tempo and hopefully bad tempered (!!) game as I am a buyer of bookings at 56. Mike Dean certainly isn’t afraid to dish out the cards.
