Southampton are really suffering this season and look a pale immitation of the team that finished seventh in last season’s Premier League. They have already been knocked out of the Europa League and have collected just six points from five games so far in the Premier League.
Man U have a good record here, winning on six of their last seven visits and drawing the other game. However, Southampton did beat Man U 1-0 at Old Trafford in January when they last met.
The visitors have been dealt a big low by the loss of Luke Shaw who looks set to miss the entire season after his horrific double leg break. As a result Marcos Rojo is expected to make his first league start of the season.

The big problem for Southampton has been scoring. Ronald Koeman’s side have now failed to score in four of their last six league games and whilst Man U are not exactly knocking them in for fun they should still prove too strong and compound problems for Southampton. I’m buying the Star Spreads Man U win index as I can’t see them being beaten and if it’s a draw losses will be relatively marginal.
