S.P.Read Esq: Liverpool v Bournemouth

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Capital One Cup 7.45pm kick off on Wednesday between LIVERPOOL v BOURNEMOUTH and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadShock, horror. Not Halloween but Liverpool are on the box again. I’ve absolutely no stats to back it up but am convinced that Liverpool get far more than it’s fair share of TV exposure.

I’m certainly not convinced it will be the pick of tonight’s fourth round Capital One Cup games which also include:

Man City v Crystal Palace
Southampton v Aston Villa
Man U v Middlesbrough

Bournemouth have never beaten Liverpool in seven previous meetings but it would be a mistake to put too much blind faith in those stats – four of the matches were in 1927 and 1968 !!!!

More recently, they met in this same competition last year when Liverpool ran out 3-1 winners at Bournemouth when they were still in the Championship.

They also met for the first time in the top flight in August at Anfield when Christian Benteke’s 26th minute (offside!) goal was enough to split the two.

The spotlight remains on Jurgen Klopp and will continue to be so until he gets his first win.

A nice profit with the sell of the third goal last night but the thinking was all wrong. The bet was landed thanks entirely to Sheffield Wednesday and not Arsenal.

I think the same trade with Star Spreads has merit tonight in a match where I am expecting goals.
