S.P.Read Esq: Bolton Wanderers v Brentford

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Championship game on Monday between BOLTON WANDERERS v BRENTFORD and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadMonday night Championship action with bottom of the table Bolton hosting Brentford who have won five of their last seven games.

Despite languishing at the foot of the table, Bolton are quite hard to beat at home – they have lost only one home league game so far this season when beaten by Birmingham.

Bolton have also shown signs of a revival recently with draws against Leeds, Preston and Bristol City.

Neil Lennon, boss of Bolton, will make a late call on the fitness of Stephen Dobbie who has a shin injury but will be without the services of Wellington Silva, Dean Moxey and Zach Clough who are all recovering from injury.

Brentford also have their fair share of non runners. Harlee Dean is serving a three-match ban and missing the match through injury are Marco Djuricin, Maxime Colin, Andreas Bjelland, Scott Hogan, Lewis Macleod and Jota.

If Bolton’s on the field plight wasn’t gloomy enough, the club have confirmed that the players haven’t been paid for November due to a “short-term funding issue”.

The club are £172.9m in debt and currently in the process of takeover talks as owner Eddie Davies intends to sell his share in the club.

A setback with the sell of the first Tottenham goal yesterday. I certainly wasn’t expecting a 0-0.

The Star Spreads win index is identical for both teams tonight showing how close it looks.

Buying bookings at 38 looks tempting enough. Tonight’s ref Carl Boyeson is only averaging 32 so far this season but dished out five yellows in his last match here. Also, the last two times these teams have met there have been six yellows (60 points) on both occasions.
