A good match to look forward tonight in the Championship – it’s top of the table Hull taking on fourth placed Derby in what could be a real Hull-dinger of a game !
Hull are unbeaten at home this season and a win tonight would see them establish some clear water at the top of the crowded league table. They should get a boost from the expected return of top scorer Abel Hernandez who has been rested.
Equally, a win for Derby would see them take the lead in the table – so plenty at stake.
Fixtures between these two are usually close fought affairs with all bar one of the last ten head to head’s producing three goals or less.
Derby have done great work to get competitive given they went their first six matches this season without a win and were also knocked out of the Capital One Cup during that period.
Since then they are on a run of nine wins from 12 games.
