S.P.Read Esq: Stoke v Man City

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Premier League game on Saturday between STOKE v MAN CITY and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadMan City get the chance to strike first this weekend, safe in the knowledge that a win away to Stoke in the lunchtime kick off will keep them top of the table – irrespective of what else happens.

It’s a fixture City won 4-1 last season and the hosts will be hopeful of avoiding a similar score, given they are starting to find some form and have lost just two of their last 12 games – including a good run in the Capital One Cup where they have reached the semi-finals and will play Liverpool.

Stoke will welcome back captain Ryan Shawcross who missed the Capital One game through suspension but will be without Peter Crouch who has a hamstring injury.

Man City appear to have steadied the ship after their 4-1 home defeat to Liverpool which was swiftly followed by Juventus beating them 1-0 in the Champions League. City have bounced back with a win against Southampton and an impressive 4-1 defeat of Hull in their Capital One Cup quarter final game.

Manuel Pellegrini has his fair share of injury woes. Sergio Aguero and Yaya Toure are injured and join captain Vincent Kompany, Pablo Zabaleta and Samir Nasri who are also out. Eliaquim Mangala is suspended.

Goalkeeper Joe Hart has recovered from his recent hamstring problem.
