S.P.Read Esq: Swansea City v West Ham
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Premier League game on Sunday between SWANSEA CITY v WEST HAM and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
It’s tough at the top but even tougher at the bottom. Recent heroics from the likes of Newcastle, Norwich and, in particular, Bournemouth have contributed to Swansea suddenly finding themselves in the bottom three after a dreadful run of form which has seen them lose five of their last six Premier League games and draw the other match.
It really has turned pear-shaped for the Swans after their season started so brightly with two wins and two draws from their opening four games including a 2-1 defeat of Man U (* mind you, everyone is beating THEM these days…..).
Plenty of pressure then on Swansea for the visit of West Ham who have drawn four of their last six games.
Swansea remain under the charge of Alan Curtis but this may be his last match as caretaker manager as the club are expected to appoint a full-time replacement for Garry Monk. Marcelo Bielsa is the current favourite for that role. Curtis has no new injury problems this afternoon.
West Ham striker Andy Carroll is doubtful with a groin problem. Hammers manager Slaven Bilic said: “The key to beating Swansea? I watched their last five games and they didn’t play the best. Sometimes they showed good quality going forward but they were open at the back. Sometimes they were unlucky, as they definitely were at Manchester City last weekend. We must be as compact as them, and then we have the quality to beat them. We have to show more quality in the final third.”

It’s a match where it’s hard to summon up much enthusiasm for either side – but I have to be a seller of Swansea’s supremacy on Star Spreads at 0.35 on the basis the best I think they can hope for is a DRAW.
