S.P.Read Esq: Bristol City v WBA
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the FA Cup game on Tuesday between BRISTOL CITY v WBA and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Bristol City will be buoyed by their shock 1-0 win over Championship leaders Middlesbrough at Ashton Gate on Saturday and on home territory again tonight can put their present league woes behind them against Premier League opposition in the shape of West Brom in their FA Cup replay.
Bristol City are currently third from bottom in the Championship and are without a manager since Steve Cotterill departed after this same game finished 2-2 at the Hawthorns. John Pemberton has taken over in a caretaker role. Frustratingly for City they were in the lead until James Morrison equalised for West Brom in the 90th minute. Morrison misses the match tonight as he has a hamstring injury which could keep him out for eight weeks.
West Brom are currently 13th in the Premier League but come into this on the back of a 3-0 thumping at the hands of Southampton on Saturday having previously earned a 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge having twice come from behind.
West Brom’s assistant manager David Kemp is expecting another stern test from their lower league rivals. He said: “Like any team on their day they can be very good. They obviously haven’t been very good enough times this season but on their day they can raise their game. With someone else making the calls, I think it will change their approach, tactics and personal for the game and they obviously had the feel good factor for the victory against Middlesbrough on Saturday.”
