S.P.Read Esq: Burnley v Derby County
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Championship game on Monday between BURNLEY v DERBY COUNTY and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
It looks a Turf Moor cracker tonight….. on paper at least, with fifth placed Burnley hosting Derby who are in fourth.
Both sides are in the race to avoid the end of season play-off roulette and bidding to grab an automatic spot worth it’s weight in gold. Whilst we’re on the subject of the price of precious commodities – did you know that the barrel now costs more than the oil it contains !!! Further falls today in the Brent crude markets with a barrel now just $30.73. (EDITOR: PLEASE get back on topic).
Burnley have been a powerhouse at home this season, losing just twice and also have a trip to the Emirates on Saturday to face Arsenal in the FA Cup. As lucrative as that might be financially, manager Sean Dyche may well see it as a hindrance as there is NOTHING more valuable in football than a place in the Premier League and Burnley are very much in contention.
Dyche certainly believes in sticking with a winning formula and is set to name the same starting XI for the fifth consecutive game.
Derby are also having a good season but might just be coming off the boil with no wins from their last four league games and a struggle to get past Hartlepool in the FA Cup.

Great result yesterday with the buy of bookings at the Emirates.
They made up at 65 – PLUS I got a 10 point BONUS from Star Spreads as Chelsea won thanks to their special promotion.
The January recovery (much needed) continues and tonight I’m sticking with the bookings market with a Star Spreads but at 37.
After that. I’m settling down to watch more tennis action Down Under. Burning the midnight oil, but the oil is as cheap as chips at the moment!
