The Sky cameras are in Spain tonight where Espanyol are hovering just above the dreaded, dotted relegation line and will hardly come into tonight’s game against Sociedad (14th in table but only three points off the drop zone themselves) brimming with confidence after their 6-0 mauling at the hands of Real Madrid last weekend – they were 3-0 down after just 17 minutes.
It’s now eight matches without a win for Espanyol, although they did manage to beat Sociedad in this reverse fixture in September.
Sociedad come here on the back of a valuable 2-1 win against Real Betis having previously been beaten 5-1 by Sporting Gijon.
