S.P.Read Esq: Man Utd v FC Midtjylland
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to the Europa League game on Thursday between MAN U v FC MIDTJYLLAND and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
Midtjylland celebrated as if they’d won the tournament last week when beating Man U 2-1 – little did they know though that ANYONE can beat Man U these days 😉
Joking apart, it was a terrific effort from the Danish side proving, once again, how perilous it can be taking short odds about Man U this season.
Man U are a short price again tonight to get the job done and progress to the last 16 in the never-ending Europa League.
Louis Van Gaal said: “We have to score, that’s for sure. We have to disorganise their organisation so we have to be very creative.”
United will be without their keeper David de Gea for the third straight game and winger Winger Antonio Valencia is nearing fitness but will not be available after his foot surgery.
Also missing for Man U are Wayne Rooney (knee), midfielder Marouane Fellaini (muscle injury) and defender Matteo Darmian (shoulder).
United gained a confidence boosting success against Shrewsbury (now there’s a sentence I’d never thought I’d write!) and remain a formidable force at home – now unbeaten in nine European home games.
On the other hand, Midtjylland have lost their last two European away games without scoring, conceding six goals in the process.
The away goal could prove crucial but Man U will want to make it more straightforward than that.
