S.P.Read Esq: Everton v Man U

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final from Wembley at 5.15pm between EVERTON v MAN U and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

Everton are alphabetically named first in their FA Cup semi-final tie against Man U but that’s about the only angle in which I can see them finishing ahead !

The first semi final kicks off at 5.15pm (BBC1) and Man U will be looking to continue their good league form against their North West rivals which has seen them win both Premier League fixtures this season by an aggregate of 4-0.

Everton are looking particularly vulnerable in defence and for my money are looking like a tired end of season team.

Everton’s defence woes include missing Seamus Coleman with a hamstring injury, Phil Jagielka is struggling with a similar issue and Gareth Barry’s groin problem will also set to be assessed.

In contrast, Man U have no fresh injury concerns.

Under-fire Everton manager Roberto Martinez: said: ”We carry hurt and that’s normal after what happened in the last game, but clearly the focus is about the opportunity of being in the semi-final of the FA Cup. Since the quarter-final against Chelsea, results haven’t been good enough, and that’s something we’ll try to look into next week when we face the next league game.”

He added: ”But at the moment everything is about the semi-final and everything is about taking our football club to Wembley with a really strong feeling of being together, of facing adversity in an exemplary way and being as good as we can in front of a very strong opposition.”

Man U have hit a rich vein of form winning five of their last six games with the only loss in that run coming against title contenders Spurs.
