S.P.Read Esq: Spurs v Man U

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Sunday’s Premier League match between SPURS v MAN U and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

I waited for the conclusion of the Sunderland v Spurs game before finalising my selections for the later Spurs v Man U game.

Kick off has been delayed until 4.30pm at the earliest as the Man U coach is stuck in traffic !!

The truth was though – I didn’t need to wait because any outcome from the game at the Stadium Of Light doesn’t adjust this from being a must win game for Spurs.

In every way though Leicester’s 2-0 win puts greater pressure on Spurs and you can’t help thinking they’ll be deflated before a ball is even kicked this afternoon (or make that this evening if the traffic doesn’t improve!).

There are certainly easier opponents for Spurs to be facing than Man U – when you know even a win will probably not be good enough. Man U won the reverse fixture 1-0 at Old Trafford.

The good news for Spurs is that Man U’s form on the road is as poor as the traffic around White Hart Lane. They have lost four of their last six matches.

Spurs will be reunited with defender Jan Vertonghen after three months off with an injury.

For Man U Anotonio Valencia and Ashley Young will be on the subs bench after recent injuries.
