S.P.Read Esq: Liverpool v Sevilla

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Wednesday’s Europa League Final at 7.45pm between LIVERPOOL v SEVILLA and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

Liverpool face Sevilla tonight in the final of the Europa League. The two teams meet for the very first time at the St Jakob-Park in Basel and apart from the trophy, a coveted place in next season’s Champions League is guaranteed to the winner.

If Liverpool fail to win however, they won’t have any European football to look forward to next season having only finished eighth in the Premier League.

Jurgen Klopp seems relaxed ahead of tonight’s final: “I came here because I was really convinced about the qualities of these players and this squad, despite the doubts people had. To see how they have reached this final gives me a really good feeling.”

“I am really happy they can show how strong they are and it is a big opportunity to make the final step this season and achieve something. I don’t feel the pressure. I cannot change. I feel opportunity.”

Daniel Sturbridge will start up front for Liverpool.

Sevilla are Europa League specialists and are chasing the title for a third successive time which would be an incredible piece of history.

But we need to look at their current league form which has been disappointing. They finished seventh in La Liga – a long way off the pace and hold the unenviable record of failing to win a single away game all season !

Not quite an ‘away game’ as such tonight – but it’s on neutral territory and I think (and hope) Liverpool can lift the trophy inside 90 minutes.

I expect a frantic start and hopefully goals.
