S.P.Read Esq: Germany v Poland (Euro 2016 Thursday)

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Thursday’s Euro 2016 action and the 8pm match between GERMANY v POLAND and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

Poland beat Germany 2-0 on home soil during qualifying but the German’s usually find an extra gear (or two) when tournaments reach the business end.

Germany beat Ukraine 2-0 in their opener – it looked like being just 1-0 before Bastian Schweinsteiger’s late second goal.

Poland also made a winning start  – with a 1-0 victory over Poland. Their goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has been ruled out tonight with a thigh injury and will be replaced by Swansea’s Lukasz Fabianski.

Robert Lewandowski to Poland is what Gareth Bale is to Wales but he looked woefully out of form on Saturday without a single shot against Northern Ireland.

Germany have kept eight clean sheets in their last 12 games against Poland who have never scored more than one goal in a European Championship match.
