S.P.Read Esq: Germany v Italy (Euro 2016 Saturday)

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Saturday’s Euro 2016 action and the 8pm match between GERMANY v ITALY and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadA nice win last night with the sell of the third match goal in the Wales game!

It would be no surprise if the eventual winner comes out of tonight’s Germany v Italy tie and it looks sure to be a cagey affair.

Italy are superb in defence but can also spring sudden counter attacks which can prove deadly as the holders Spain found out. They also hold significant bragging rights over Germany who have never beaten Italy at a major tournament.

Germany’s coach G Joachim Low said: ”We have no Italy-trauma, because it’s a different team now and I think nothing of things that are dragged in from the past.”

The Italians have 11 players a yellow card away from a suspension that would see them miss a potential semi-final – Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci, Gianluigi Buffon, Giorgio Chiellini, Daniele De Rossi, Mattia De Sciglio, Eder, Lorenzo Insigne, Graziano Pelle, Salvatore Sirigu and Simone Zaza.

For Germany it’s the same predicament for Boateng, Khedira, Mats Hummels, Joshua Kimmich and Mesut Ozil.
