S.P. Read Esq: Man U v Leicester

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Saturday’s Premier League match between MAN U v LEICESTER and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadTerrific Super Saturday of Premier League action book-ended by Man U v Leicester and the North London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea.

The Man U game makes most appeal due to the vulnerability of Man U – let’s ignore the midweek ‘win’ over Northampton which was hardly a confidence restorer given Man U didn’t exactly ooze class superiority over their League One rivals, despite fielding a strong side.

Prior to that United lost three in a row – notably against neighbours City, then Feyenoord in the Europa League and a particularly inept 3-1 defeat at the hands of Watford back in the league.

United beat Leicester 2-1 at Wembley in the Community Shield at the start of the season but that match is never a reliable form guide being no more than a glorified friendly.

There’s massive pressure building on Mourinho and whilst Leicester are not showing their superlative form of last season they will really fancy their chances of adding to the special one’s woes.

Leicester’s manager Claudio Ranieri said: “We are fearless. Why are we scared to go there? More than lose, what can we do there?

“I enjoy – 70,000 people is amazing, fantastic. I don’t want to go when there is just you and me to play. It is a very bad show.

“When you go in this big stadium you want to show your best.”

Leicester won just one of their opening four games (against Swansea) but have performed better since with a win over Club Brugge in the Champions League and a 3-0 win over Burnley in their latest league game. If Leicester lose, they will equal the three Premier League defeats they suffered in the entirety of last season !!

Both the Premier League games between this pair last season finished 1-1 and I think a similar scoreline is likely today.

However, it’s the bookings market that makes most interest with a BUY on Star Spreads at 46. Mike Dean has averaged 58 in four games this season so in a high profile match we can hope that kind of make-up is possible here.
