S.P. Read Esq: Leicester v FC Copenhagen

Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Tuesday’s Champions League game between LEICESTER v FC COPENHAGEN and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadLeicester City’s European adventure continues tonight as they welcome FC Copenhagen to the King Power Stadium.

Their European campaign has certainly started better than their hopes of defending their Premier League title.

Leicester have recorded back to back wins against Club Brugge and then Porto in Group G and face a Copenhagen side who also beat Club Brugge and drew with Porto. Collateral form is dangerous but we have little else to go on and there is unlikely to be much to choose between the pair tonight.

Claudio Ranieri certainly seemed to be giving this game higher priority than the away trip to Stamford Bridge at the weekend where the Foxes were brushed aside 3-0 by Chelsea and looked fairly insipid.

Ranieri said: “In the Premier League we must be safe at the end of the year. The Champions League is now. At this moment, it’s a priority.”

Leicester have already lost one more League game this season than they did in the whole of last season.

Ranieri added: “We want to improve but it’s normal when we start the season to have something to work on because new players have come and everything is new.

“Maybe we want to do something more but we are Leicester, we’re a good team and we have to show our qualities.

“We are getting better and have to be solid and strong and don’t make any pressure about relegation.”
