Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Monday’s Premier League game between LIVERPOOL v MAN U and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.

SPreadPlenty of mind games already from Mourinho about the appointment of Anthony Taylor as referee for tonight’s mouthwatering clash between Liverpool and Man U at Anfield – a match which could see the hosts take a share of the lead at the top the table.

Mourinho has implied that as Taylor lives close to Old Trafford he’s the wrong man for the job. That seems about as reliable as someone in London saying they live close to Buckingham Palace but it doesn’t exactly make them a member of the Royal Family and the comments look likely to plunge Mourinho into more hot water with the FA.

Taylor has dished out 27 yellow cards (no reds) in 9 games this season and will no doubt be anxious to keep a lid on this cauldron tonight.

Apart from a blip against Burnley, Liverpool have made a superb start to the new season and look worthy favourites tonight.

They have scored 26 goals in nine Premier League and League Cup games and face a Man U side who have lost two League games including the Manchester derby.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said: “Apart from the table, it’s a very important game. I know about the history, I like the special stories. The whole world will watch this game, it’s a big honour to be part of it.

“At the end, it’s up to us to perform to our best. You cannot and should not ignore the special circumstance of a game like this. You have to be ready.

“They have big quality and we have to respect this, as we do. But this is Anfield. We have to show this. We have had a few nice atmospheres but I’m open for the best atmosphere. We need everybody in a Liverpool shirt in this game.”
