S.P. Read Esq: Liverpool v Man City
Our daily columnist and pundit S.P. Read Esq. looks ahead to Saturday’s Premier League clash between LIVERPOOL v MAN CITY and finds the best opportunities available on Star Spreads, the home of sports spread betting.
It’s not exactly a bad way to end 2016. Liverpool v Man City closes the curtain on the 2016 programme and it’s a fixture that usually throws up plenty of goals as our head to head stats show below.
Such is Chelsea’s current position (six points clear and make that nine if they beat Stoke in the earlier 3pm kick off) that a DRAW would pretty much be a disastrous result for either Liverpool or Man City who start the weekend in second and third respectively in the Premier League table.
Man City will be boosted by the expected return of Sergio Aguero who has served his four match suspension and defender John Stones is back in the fold after a knee injury but Leroy Sane and Vincent Kompany remain sidelined.
Jurgen Klopp has said that Philippe Coutinho is recovering well from his ankle injury but expects him to miss his side’s next two games.
Klopp said: “This is a very big game for both. Six clubs fight for four or one position. Each game is kind of a final.
“City have the highest quality in the team and highest quality on the bench.
“The advantage is that it’s at Anfield. We must try to use this. It will be really difficult for both teams.
“I’m really looking forward to it. We love playing against the best.”
